Virgin Mobile has unveiled a new Android-powered smartphone, called the Samsung Galaxy 550. Samsung Galaxy 550 smartphone has a 600MHz processor and runs Android OS 2.1.


Samsung Galaxy 550 sports a 2.8-inch QVGA touchscreen TFT LCD display with 240 x 320 resolution, Wi-Fi, GPS, 3.5mm headset jack, Bluetooth 2.1, 50MB internal memory, 2 megapixel camera. It has a memory of 150MB which can be extended using the microSD card slot for up to 16GB. You can enjoy songs with its multi format music player and FM Radio.

Samsung Galaxy 550 supports HSDPA 7.2 Mbps Dual band (850/1900MHz) connectivity. Weighing 102 grams Samsung Galaxy 550 has a dimension of 108 x 56 x 12.3 mm. With the 1200 mAh battery you can get talktime of up to 9.5 hours and can have a stand by of up to 520 hours.
